Ernie is a self-taught artist who uses stencil, acrylic and spray paint to create his art. Bitten by the printmaking bug at Self-Help-Graphics, he enjoys creating woodcuts and linocuts, especially in the traditional black and white mode. He grew up around low-riders and images of La Virgen, both of which have been major influences in his life. Today he is the proud owner of a ’54 Chevy, and often depicts La Virgen in his work. Ernie lives in Santa Monica, CA with his wife Amy, and their two sons, Antonio and Emilio.
